Cutters Court Case and Adoption Process

We've been swarmed with e-mails from our very devoted readers about what will happen to J.C. Cutters horses now that they've been confiscated.

It's quite simple really, they'll be adopted to forever homes. Homes where they'll always be respected and treated kindly. There will be many court proceedings in the next few months with the most recent being on March 12th. One reader brought up a very valid concern. "If the company didn't have money to keep the horses in a wholesome manner then, what makes anyone think that they'll be able to provide for them if they get them back?" Don't worry reader, we're sure the city has thought about that long and hard. CACC has built a solid case against Cutters and will defend their decision to remove the animals from their care. Something tell us that the prosecution will have plenty of knowledge when they walk in to court on March 12th.

When are you going to free all the birds that are locked up in cages in Chicago? Lets not forget about all those poor fish stuck in glass cells.

Wow, you have-mails stating loss of horses. I bet thats as accurate as the Chicago news stations running pictures of so called malnourished horses that looked in good shape. You posted about the BCS(body condition scale), you should read and know what you post.

If you love animals so much what do you have against rats?! ha

You don't know squat about horse husbandry. That is evident in your postings.

Lord have mercy on your misguided soul.

You horse people who are supporting J C Cutters are just as misinformed and ignorant as the Channel 2 news report. In the last 15 years have any of you personally stepped one foot into any of their stables? eh? Unless you've been there and saw the conditions yourself none of you people have any idea what you are talking about.

That bottom video on your YouTube link(the dark 1m 33sec one) looks like someone trespassed to get it. You guys always skulk around illegally to get your info?

As for not knowing the conditions,ADL and local media clearly stated reason for taking horses was malnourished. Horses look fine. Animal control and rescue orgs as a rule do not take animals because of what may/may not have happened in past, but rather how animals currently look. Photos and video from ADL and media sites show what appear to be healthy horses. Credibility-just my 2 cents.

"Confiscating" healthy animals is equivalent to horse stealing. I saw no horses that were close to death, which is a requirement for seizure. Body score looked to be a 5 or 6 (out of 10). They also did not show them being taken away from EATING their hay.

They were not allowed to be blanketed, had shipping boots put on, a feed list prepared, nor any instructions on which horses get along well together and which do not.

I also wonder why an actual EQUINE vet was not allowed to examine them. Must be because no equine vet would have considered them "malnourished or neglected."

This is a witch hunt, plain and simple.

People need to see a truly starved horse -- and there are plenty of them out there that no one will help, including HAHS and the IL Dept. of Ag.

Shipping boots?! Hahahah. Those people don't own those and never has anyone ever seen them used on their horses while being shipped. However, one driver did used them on her horse while she was DRIVING her on the street. The confusion is exhausting.

Jesus H. Christ, in a hand basket! Poor poor Cutters,oh boo hoo. I'm sick of this shit. Why is it that the other carriage companies have NO PROBLEMS with the City of Chicago? Why? Because they follow the simple rules and don't put their horses in F**KING CONDEMNED BUILDINGS OR TENTS! Wake up people and smell the coffee.

This is to the owner of this blog. Was curious since you are a member of ADL and have 50 posts there, perhaps you can get a hold of Marcos there and ask him why 2 of my recent posts have not been posted, nor have others of some people that recently joined(and subsequently banned as animal abusers for trying to make posts that were perceived as exploiting animals). Seems like ADL just lets posts that promote their "cause" get posted. Doesn't seem hardly credible as a forum, but rather a radical attempt to educate(brainwash-?) their members and the public on their "beliefs" only. Afterall your own words on your YouTube site are: We'll stop at nothing to make the public more aware of the TRUTH!
